Marching thru

So - you found your way to here. This is what you are looking for. Again - I make no claims that they will be there. It is an URBAN series. Once gone - I more than likely will not replant them.

3/29/09 update: boxes 4, 16, and 17 are no longer available. 4 and 16 I will recarve and replant soon - but the last box that held the logbook has been pulled and retired.

Microbox Series: All boxes are either camo’d pill bottles or film canisters. All are placed within striking distance of their location name in bushes if possible (some require stone shifting.) This is a VERY urban series. When you find the puzzle piece – read it and use the alpha code on the back to help guide you to the final box’s location. You do not need the pieces to solve the final boxes location - but they might help.
Marching thru Freeport (17 micros and one final box) Colors for the series: red, green (lt. and dk.), yellow, brown, black, blue, pink, flesh tone, light blue and navy.
Bessie and Bertie decided to head to downtown Freeport for some fabulous shopping. Well in case you didn’t know this, Bertie tends to be a bit of a fuss budget and Bessie – well she’s just downright strange. But boy can these gals walk and shop! But along the way they seemed to have dropped things here and there. We wouldn’t have to go get them – but like I said, Bertie is a fuss-budget and she’s insisting that all her little trinkets be found and stamped up so she can see them once again.
Well Bertie knows that before they can even attempt to get serious about shopping, they need to fuel up. So of course they started off in this wonderful Irish/Mexican place. Corned Beef Nachos! Who would have ever thought? But Bertie’s taste in beverages ran to the old school. She wanted a nice fresh brew, made locally to wash down all that corned beef. She knows she was hanging around a sign looking at the brewery’s sign. With any luck, maybe you’ll find box #1 there.
"Well look at that Bessie! Someone knows I have a sweet tooth! Do you think we’ll need a boat to get out to that light to pick up a piece of chocolate or two?" "I don’t think a boat ride will work on Main Street Bertie. But feel free to dip your hand into the light if you think you might be able to find box #2."
"Now Bertie, you know Stan isn’t supposed to smoke. Why on earth do we have to stop at the World’s Largest Humidor?" "Bessie, I promised Stan one stogie if he took care of Kitty and Charlie while I was her shopping with you. I can’t disappoint the man!" "Okay, Bessie, but do you really think you’ll find Stan’s Stogie (#3) in that bush beneath the sign? "I don’t know Bertie, but it’s worth a looksie!"
"Do you think I should get one for Mickey as well? Maybe he’d like a stogie as well." "When Pigs Fly will I let Mickey light up one of those dreadful things! I’d sooner have him hanging out under a metered wall that have that smell in my house! But the side door might work if he stays awy from my prize petunias!" Maybe I dropped #4 here though!
"Hey Bertie. Did you remember your Abacus (#5) to help you balance your checkbook this time? Last time we were here it took you forever to seek under the windows to find your calculator. And then we ended up near a downspout to the right of the building rooting around the stone wall!"
"Bessie, I don’t know about that. But that reminds me. I think I owe a couple of bucks to that star-eyed kid that delivers the paper. I probably should remember to put his money out the next time I see him dropping my paper at the right corner of the porch. It is sort of odd the way he insists on throwing it to the right-hand corner ever day. Its always wet from the water off the drainpipe!"(#6)
"So Stan is watching Mickey. I never thought there would be a day when he’d put up with living with a Horny Toad. But he sure seems to have come around to the idea!" "You’d think so – but I always have to fish Mickey away from the fire hydrant. The little bugger loves that stone wall! (#7)
"Well it certainly helps now that Stan has taken to listening to the Blues. But for some reason it always sounds like it has Mexican jumping beans in the background. That maybe so, but did he have to put the speaker under the front porch? (#8) "Bertie, you are so silly! If I didn’t know any better I’d think you were doing a complete north about face! Just sit on that bench a minute and I’ll get a cheeky photo of us here in fabulous Freeport! Look in that hole? It that your glasses?" (#9) "Watch out Bessie! There’s wildlife running through downtown! And they are wearing sunglasses! Boy is Freeport one hip place! Even the wildlife feels like getting some serious shopping done! Probably why they ducked inside to hang out and in the window seat. He’s probably just waiting for the Mrs. and needs something funny to look at!"
"Watch your step Bessie. I’d like to pick up some of that good British Tea. Do I need to take the stairs to get it?" (#11) "Bertie, don’t be silly. In order to get good British tea you have to take a boat! All those stairs will do is lead you to some musty beer bottles! And then you’ll just have to shimmy down the pipe to find what you want!"
"Beer bottles? Bessie what ever are you talking about. I’m sure Jameson serves up nothing but the finest brews in his tavern." (#12) "Maybe so – but it would be nice if we could sit inside instead of him making us crawl around the patio outside. Doesn’t he know my joints just cannot stand this cold Maine weather?" Oh heck, I don’t even think I can make it past that third step. Maybe I just have to pass on that beer this go around, even thought that’s probably not the right thing to do!"
"Leapin Lizards!(#13) Since when did you decide to bring Kitty to Freeport?" "Bessie, put your glasses back on your face. That’s not Kitty! That’s just one that looks like her! And look at it run off behind the wooden box holding them bushes together!" "Never mind about that! I forgot to mail my payment to the credit card. If we run over to the post office I’m sure the Times Record will have the address I need. If not, they should at least have the best locations for bean-hole suppers tonight!" (#14) "Bessie, you must be confused. We don’t have time for a bean-hole supper this trip. But maybe we can stop at this Friendly little restaurant and get an ice cream sundae. Then we can bring it out here and sit on the stone pillar and watch the folks walk around town."(#15)
"Are you crazy? I’m not sitting outside I this weather! I’m heading over to McDonald’s for a burger and fries. Besides, they usually have free information that we can look at (#16). It might just give me an idea for a location heading 9 west. I heard they have spectacular shoes and kaleidoscope looking bags!"
"Okay Bessie, if we must leave now I guess I’ll just pack up my handbags and gladrags and join you in the car. But do you really think Stan and Mickey will be expecting us back so early? And without anything to show for our trip!"
"Nothing to worry about Bertie. I think with us not spending their money there might just be a bonus in our future!"
The last location holds the logbook. When logging in let me know how many you found! And this location locks its doors at 6pm!
